KCP International partners with 3 universities:
Founded in 1893, Western Washington University is one of the highest-ranking public universities in the Pacific Northwest. It serves over 16,000 students and prides itself on maintaining a sustainable campus. WWU’s Education Abroad department focuses on enriching educational opportunities abroad for students.
Founded in 1889, the University of Idaho is the state’s land-grant research university. Its residential campus is located in Moscow with educational and research centers, and extension offices in 42 counties. Renowned for its academic excellence, UI’s Education Abroad department provides its students access to international experiences and opportunities to develop their global skills.
Lincoln University, founded in 1854, is the first degree-granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the country. Located at southern Chester County in Pennsylvania, LU’s long history in international studies can be traced back to its first study abroad students in 1859. Its Study Abroad department continues to focus on enriching the global and intercultural fluency of students.
Transcripts from our Partner Universities
Western Washington University, the University of Idaho, and Lincoln University serve as the School of Record for KCP International Japanese Language School. For an additional $375, you will earn a transcript if your home school requires a US transcript to accept the credits for this program.
Western Washington University will transcribe courses using an International Studies designation.
- WWU follows the quarter calendar system.
- Each Fall, Winter and Spring Japan Fuji-KCP courses will appear as 6 quarter credits.
- Our Summer Intensive course will be issued as a block of 12 quarter credit hours.
Lincoln University will transcript courses as Japanese credits.
- Each course starting in Fall, Winter and Spring are equal to 4 semester credits.
- The Intensive Japanese Summer program is equivalent to 8 semester credits.
Affiliate Schools
Students attending one of KCP International Japanese Language School’s affiliate schools in the USA may also be able to earn credit directly from their home school. Students will want to check with their Study Abroad or Study Away offices for more information.
Selected as one of America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report, Cleveland State University features renowned professors, more than 200 academic programs, exciting downtown internships, NCAA Division I athletics, and one of Ohio’s lowest tuitions. Over 17,000 students attend.
Elizabethtown College has 19 departments and concentrations in the liberal arts, sciences, and professional studies. Encouraged, challenged, and supported by this engaging faculty, students become involved in experiential learning opportunities that include research, internships, and off-campus study.
ISU, a state institution, serves about 12,400 students. The main campus is in Pocatello, though ISU serves several other areas in Idaho. The Foreign Languages department offers majors and minors in several languages, supported by a cutting-edge language lab for self-paced instruction.
Indiana State University offers over 100 majors, more than 70 online programs, and infinite opportunities for students. Since 1865, its core values include hard work and fairness. Students are challenged to grow and learn inside and outside the classroom, and to make an impact in the community.
Missouri State University enrolls 26,000 students, with a focus on public affairs. Its mission is to serve the community by developing leaders who are informed about the world and the people who live in it, through community engagement, cultural competence, and ethical leadership. The Education Abroad Office offers study abroad opportunities in over 45 different countries.
NMSU is a land-grant and space-grant university in Las Cruces, with extensions and research centers statewide. More than 14,000 students attend. NMSU is a NASA Space Grant College, a Hispanic-serving institution, and the home of the first Honors College in New Mexico.
Rhode Island College prides itself in providing quality education for all students. The school offers varied programs in arts and sciences, business, and professional disciplines within a supportive and diverse community. The school aims to foster intellectual curiosity and prepare an educated citizenry for responsible leadership.
Rowan University serves over 18,000 students and aims to be a model for higher learning by being inclusive, agile, and responsive. It offers diverse scholarly and creative educational experiences and environments to meet the needs of all students.
Texas Tech University is one of the largest comprehensive higher education institutions in the western two-thirds of the state of Texas. It prides itself in fostering student success reflective of the University’s commitment to an environment that promotes inclusive access while attracting committed and high-achieving students. Over 40,000 students attend.
